"For several months al I suffered with severe lower back pain. As time went on the pain intensified to the point I no longer enjoyed activities or even felt good enough to do anything. I am an RN and many of the doctors I work with theorized it was simply a ‘strain’ and prescribed muscle relaxers and pain pills which temporarily made it possible to function.
Finally, I recognized the severity of the situation and saw a physician to truly diagnose the problem. Through X-rays and ultrasounds they found a severely torn muscle in my right lower back. He made it clear that I would go to physical therapy for twelve sessions, but I would most likely have to have surgery to repair the muscle. He predicted a three month period of recovery and time out of work. I was devastated.
I entered therapy with Garden Ridge Physical Therapy and, must admit, had very little hope. They believed different! Dr. Diana (PT) told me if I would just commit she would get me where I needed to be; no pain, no medication, no surgery.The staff at Garden Ridge Physical Therapy worked as hard as I did. Their positive, but tough, attitude leads me to write this success story. They are truly the most pleasant, professional team you could hope for. The experience actually became fun and ended as Dr. Diana said."
